The Outpost of Freedom!

During the Vietnam War the United States Military set up camps outside small villages in Vietnam. They would use these camps as beacons to the surrounding villages that freedom was not a lost cause, that even way out in a jungle that was alive with Vietcong, freedom was not dead. America has never seen a war as difficult to fight as that war. A visible enemy is hard enough to fight, but an invisible enemy is even harder. Today the world is waging war against our young men, from visible worldly music to subtle worldly philosophies. Our boys are dropping like flies, and someone must do something before America loses her future.

North Platte Baptist Church in North Platte, Nebraska, has established a spiritual Outpost of Freedom. We are a fundamental, independent, separated, King James Bible, soul winning, convert baptizing, Baptist church.

Our Outpost is stationed in a town of 28,000 people. You say what is out there? Well, we have a place where boys are given a Biblically structured home to live in, where Dad leads and Mama is a help meet, where obedience is not an option, where everyone is loved, where responsibility is given, where characters are built by character, where laziness is lost, and where true joy is found in the service of the King.

Crossroads Character Training Center began in 1998, when God moved upon Pastor Bill Reeves to provide a place that would reclaim boys that were being lost from our own Baptist churches. It is our goal to help these boys to know they’re saved, to become soul winners, and to go off to fundamental, independent, local church, Baptist colleges to serve the Lord. We are not a business trying to make money; we are a church busy about our Father’s business.
